We understand you may have some questions revolving around this process that we just conducted, and reasonably so. Please find below our community based FAQ that might help answer all your questions.
Why has the company rebranded?
We want a brand that reflects our vision and our values. We have been a part of so many incredible movements in the NFT space and we have grown into a company whose focus extends beyond the confines of Bondly Finance. We have never been more ready to connect with new audiences looking for a stronger connection to their favorite creators, introducing them to the possibilities of Web3 and the metaverse.
Was this rebrand requested or instigated through your relationship with Animoca?
As a subsidiary of Animoca Brands we have naturally taken into consideration how our brand and our strategic focus fits into the wider Animoca ecosystem. Bondly Finance was launched with a focus on how NFTs could be utilized across multiple financial products, as well as consumer products. Now, as part of Animoca Brands, we have one of the world’s most influential Web3, gaming and metaverse-focused companies alongside significant opportunities to work with the world’s biggest creators and brands. For that reason a move to a more consumer-facing brand makes sense to allow us to prepare for the explosive growth of consumer adoption we foresee in the coming months and years.
Who helped the rebrand?
This rebrand has been a huge piece of work and we have collaborated with some of the industry’s most respected brand experts. Collectively they have worked with Uber, Disney, Coca Cola, Wrigley’s, and AT&T among other well-known major consumer brands.
Why ‘Forj’?
The word ‘Forge’ was one that resonated with our brand design team and our executive team owing to its association with creativity, partnership and innovation. In fact, in many ways it was the perfect word to describe our project, reflecting our ambitions to continue to innovate and bring fans and creators closer together. The word Forj is the phonetic spelling of the actual word ‘Forge’, making it stand out and be more memorable.
What will the extent of the rebrand include?
We want to completely change how our partners and our community engage with us. As well as a full renaming of the brand, we will be upgrading the look and feel of our technical products. We will have a brand new website with new content weekly.
What will happen to the $BONDLY Token?
There are currently no plans to rename our token or make any changes to the tokenomics of $BONDLY, however should this be the case in future we will ensure our partners have sufficient notice and support.
How will the rebrand benefit the community?
The rebrand sets us apart from competitors in a saturated market, giving more exposure to us and everyone in our ecosystem. Stronger branding will support our efforts and promote credibility and trust, which is vital to our mission to engage new audiences. Becoming Forj will help us to share our values across different communities, and elevate our reputation.
How will the rebrand effect the price of the token/nfts?
The evolution from Bondly to Forj is a strategic move designed to allow us to accomodate a new wave of consumer adoption for NFT and blockchain technologies, the growth of our ecosystem will be positive for the growth of the project in the long term. The impact on token or NFT price isn’t something we can control.
What will happen to BCCG?
There is a plan in place to transition away from the BCCG series given its legacy branding and artistic style, however holders will be offered a meaningful exchange of value and will not be adversely impacted by the move. More details will be announced shortly.
What will happen to PolkaPets?
Polkapet World remains business as usual, the reband only impacts Bondly as the parent brand of PolkaPets.
Will there be a Forj Polkapet? What will happen to BondSwap?
We will consider the release of a Forj pet in future. Our legacy Polkapets Bondswap, BondProtect and BondDex won’t be altered and will remain an integral part of the PPW collection.
What will happen to Launchpad?
Our Launchpad will be referred to as the Forj Launchpad for the time being, and we will review the product in the near future to determine how best to operate.
