Bondly x Globe Photo Partnership to Release NFTs for Dali’s Birthday

Globe Entertainment & Media, Corp. is the owner of several historic archives of iconic images ranging from the 1930s era to the present day. The archives include photos of all major movie stars and musicians, in addition to historical and art images. Many of the photos owned by Globe have never been seen or released to the public. Bondly’s role in the partnership will be to mint and release some of the company’s rarest and most iconic images as NFTs.These exclusive drops will include images of Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol, whose archive was called “The most significant find of its kind in the past 50 years” by English Auction House Christie’s.

These historic images will be released on Salvador Dali’s birthday. Each of the photos has a story attached to it that describes the particular moment in time that led to the iconic photograph. These stories capture the essence of the life of Salvador Dali.
Who is Salvador Dali?
Salvador Dalí was a Spanish Surrealist painter and printmaker known for exploring subconscious imagery. His painting style matured extraordinarily rapidly over the course of his career, and between 1929 to 1937 he produced the paintings that made him the world’s best-known Surrealist artist. As an art student in Madrid and Barcelona, Dalí assimilated a vast number of artistic styles and displayed unusual technical facility as a painter. It wasn’t until the late 1920s, though, that two events brought about the development of his mature artistic style: his discovery of Sigmund Freud’s writings on the erotic significance of subconscious imagery and his affiliation with the ParisSurrealists, a group of artists and writers who sought to establish the “greater reality” of the human subconscious over reason. To bring up images from his subconscious mind, Dalí began to induce hallucinatory states in himself by a process he described as “paranoiac critical.”
